The topic came up one night when I was walking to the fridge for a beer. and noticed my room mate playing a First Person Shooter using the arrow keys on the keyboard. I asked "how do you reload, prone, crouch etc.". He replies matter-of-fact "Reload I use 0 on the numlock pad, Control for crouch, mouse button 2 for prone etc.". This then got me thinking about the different styles used on the keyboard, and which would be more efficient.
